Funeral prayer for Egypt’s Sheikhul-Imamul-Akbar Mohamed Thanthavi would be held in all the inhabited islands after the Friday prayer tomorrow, Islamic Ministry has said.

The sheikh died in a heart-attack when he was in Saudi Arabia to attend an official function. Imam Thanthavi had achieved a PHD on thafseer science. He also works on calling for Islam throughout the world. He has also taught in universities in Libya and Saudi Arabia as well before being appointed as the Azhar sheikh in 1996.
